Real summer basketball for New Jersey's town travel players — on college courts, with real officials, close to home.
Garden State Futures started with a simple idea: give New Jersey's town travel players a real summer to compete — not a showcase circuit, but organized league basketball against the towns down the road, on courts worth playing on.
The fastest growing summer league in New Jersey.
Every game is played on the college campus at FDU Madison, worked by two NJSIAA-certified officials, with Futures staff running the clock, the official scorebook, and live standings on the app. One game a night, Monday or Wednesday — no weekends — capped by a championship tournament.
The league is led by Bill Connolly, head boys basketball coach at Mendham High School and a four-time Coach of the Year. What began as one summer has grown to 600 players on 55 teams from 20 towns across northern New Jersey, plus a Player Development Series and a fall Pre-Season Tournament to keep teams together year-round.
